Mindset Coach | Branding & Website Design
Chris Freer
Evolving a business often means outgrowing your online presence. Having partnered with Chris since 2019, I stepped in to design a fresh, high-end brand identity and custom website that establishes instant trust and positions him as the specialist he is.
The Story
My partnership with Chris Freer goes back to 2019, when he first reached out to me on LinkedIn to build a website for his original community enterprise, Upbeat Life. Founded in 2007 following Chris’s own diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis in 2002, Upbeat Life was a brilliant organisation focused on community support and helping people improve their lives. Back then, I built a fully responsive, highly accessible website for him that even included Makaton symbols to aid communication.
It was a project that set the foundation for our long-term collaboration. However, as all great entrepreneurs do, Chris evolved. Over the years, his core mission of helping people naturally expanded into formal, high-level life coaching, hypnotherapy, and NLP mindset shifts, eventually leading him to close the chapter on Upbeat Life to focus entirely on his own signature coaching methodology Freer Thinking.
The Challenge
By 2025, Chris was ready to take his business in an entirely new, premium direction. He had formulated “Freer Thinking,” his unique method of coaching, and needed a completely fresh visual identity and online space to match this high-level shift. Moving a business away from a legacy brand can feel like a daunting task.
Chris needed to ensure his new brand stood out, instantly established deep empathy, and resonated with individuals seeking genuine personal transformation. He required a platform that would showcase his specific coaching method perfectly, and he wanted a trusted creative partner who already understood his philosophy inside out, allowing him to bypass complicated tech processes.
The Solution
Chris booked my Full Scope package to refine his visual identity and build a new website. His original branding had served him well in the early stages, but the playful pink, blue, and green colour scheme needed to evolve to match where his practice is today.
We kept the familiar core mark while maturing the entire look, swapping out the bright tones for an earthy, grounded palette of bark, slate, evergreen, and warm neutrals. Alongside the updated colours, I introduced clean Montserrat typography and a compact CF submark to give the brand a calm, confident feel across both digital and print.
I coordinated the project with Chris’s VA, Chelsey Moss (projectplanva.co.uk), handling all the moving parts behind the scenes so Chris could keep his focus on client sessions. I encouraged Chris to get professional photos to elevate the whole look, which led him to book Mark Fountain at City Space Chelmsford for a fresh set of brand images.
With the updated brand guidelines and photography in place, I designed and built a custom WordPress site around his Freer Thinking methodology. The layout is warm, professional, and easy to navigate, giving prospective clients a clear route to explore his services and book a session.
The Result
The goal for ChrisFreer.co.uk was simple: create a brand identity and website that reflect the true quality of Chris’s coaching. The new site gives him an unmistakable presence online, cutting out any hesitation when sharing his link. Teaming up with his VA, Chelsey, ensured content gathering and reviews stayed on track without disrupting his day-to-day client work.
Having supported Chris since 2019, helping him take this step has been a highlight. I look forward to continuing our partnership and keeping his brand consistent across everything he puts out.

Well, I have to say Liz has been amazing. Her ideas and the professional way she has constructed my website, well let’s just say, I could not have done it without her. I am happy to give 10/10
